321splash.com Try On Service
The Try On Service enables customers to have peace of mind when ordering a drysuit from 321splash.com. We have been successfully running this system for several years with Outer Edge drysuits and have now expanded it to cover all drysuits which we sell.
How Does It Work?
It's a very simple procedure - Firstly, when a customer buys a drysuit from us we always ask for height, weight and chest measurements plus boot size. This allows us to compare the customer's sizes with the hundreds of previously sold suits, so we have a very good idea of what size and shape of person fits best into which size of suit. We can then allow for the customer's preferences, for example commercial divers nearly always ask for a looser fit whereas many open water sport divers prefer a closer fit to reduce air migration within the suit.
It is easy to spot a diver who is a pretty standard size from the information requested. If anything needs a closer look we send the customer a measuring guide and form which contains clear measuring diagrams and size boxes to fill out.
Once we have agreed sizes and fit with the customer the suit is despatched. This is where the Try On Service kicks in - when the customer receives the suit and tries it on it will hopefully be a good fit. 95 percent of the time it is. If the fit is right first time then the customer's Try On Service fee is refunded and the customer keeps the suit.
If there are any queries on the fit or the customer decides to have extra work done to the suit (such as adding pockets, etc.) then the suit is collected by courier from the customer. We receive the suit back, carry out any required work and the suit is then despatched back to the customer.
Why £25?
Anyone who sends a drysuit in the post know that it can cost between £18-£30, depending on which courier is used. At 321splash.com we always provide free shipping with our drysuits but it can get costly if we have to ship a suit three times (out, in and out again) so the £25 means that we meet the bill half way with the customer.
Does It Work?
Absolutely, we have been using this system for a long time and for a lot of suits and it has proved to be very successful, providing peace of mind for the customer - if there is a query with the suit the customer knows it will be collected and dealt with quickly and that if everything works out perfectly first time then there is no charge because the Try On Service fee is refunded as soon as the customer notifies us that they are happy with the suit.
